Through the Discover® Open Road Card cash reward program, you will earn a full 5% in cash rebates for gas and auto maintenance purchases, up to 1% for general purchases, and .25% for purchases made at select warehouse clubs and discount stores. When you spend up to $1,500 on general purchases you will receive a .25% rebate, between $1,500 and $3,000 a .5% rebate, and over $3,000 will receive a 1% rebate. For gas and auto maintenance rebates, when you spend up to $1,200 you will receive a full 5% rebate, between $1,200 and $1,500 a .25% rebate, between $1,500 and $3,000 a .5% rebate, and over $3,000 will receive a 1% rebate. You can also earn up to a double Cashback Bonus® for redeeming rebates for gift certificates from participating Discover Card Partners. The card uses a more costly method to apply finance charges than some other cards, but it provides several platinum benefits, an attractive 0% introductory rate on purchases for six months and a 0% introductory APR* on balance transfers for twelve months.
